Today marks the end of August 2024 and the end of re-posting some of my favorite images from 2008/2009. Tomorrow, Sept 1 starts a new chapter. I will be posting old images from 2008-2010 that have never been edited or shared previously. It has been a fun journey through my old files. In addition to finding fun favorites I've also discovered some old gems. I hope you enjoy this image, accompanying music and will join me on the journey of photo archaeological exploration for the month ahead.
For those who live with chronic pain. There just seems to be no permanent relief. There are degrees of pain. And those "degrees" have their own cycles and each cycle offers a different perspective much like looking through a window that has been segmented. Each pane("pain") offers a new perspective, a new way of seeing - a new understanding even when it is unpleasant and seems unchangeable.
Happy August everyone. So today marks the start of a new type of image posting. June was dedicated to new abstract works in my signature Visual Glossolalia style. July’s posts featured [reworks] of old nature photos from 2008-2010: nature photos that were originally posted to my old blog that I decided to “take a hatchet to…” LOL. Starting today, August’s posts will feature old abstract photos that were posted on my old blog that was deleted many years ago. I did some minor adjustments only to these photos – because I found that when I started photography and started posting images around 2007 I had this insane idea that the more saturation the better. So I have desaturated some of the images to make them more “acceptable”. In the early days of using photo shop I also had this penchant for using digital frames on a lot of my work. Well, now I feel digital frames are really annoying so I’ve eliminated those as well.
I hope you enjoy the revisit of this older abstract photos from 2008-2009 as we go through this month. Stay well.
