I’ve added a new page to this site called Abstract Photography. This photo is one of many featured on that page. You may click on “Abstract Photography” above or use this link https://onbeingbecoming.com/abstract-photographs/
This image is one single image taken on the same level. I was enthralled with the various light fixtures mixing Tungsten and Fluorescent and the colors. Obviously sitting in my car and shooting out the drivers side window. This was on the lowest level of the underground parking deck. Level 5 or maybe Dante’s 5th level of hell.
Sometimes I like deliberately using the the wrong white balance setting for the color that it gives.
I’ve gone to one of my favorite haunts (an underground car park) All new images ,but one or two of them are re-shoots including this first one, in the series.
This series is inspired by the album OBLIVION HYMNS by the band Hammock. One image a day for each of the 10 original songs + 3 bonus images for the deluxe edition of the album. Total 13 images in 13 days (13 has always been a lucky number for me).
I love Hammock’s moody work and it has been a perfect soundtrack for my current state of mind. So here we go…..
American Idiot – another name for Donald Trump
Florian Schneider-Esleben (7 April 1947 – 30 April 2020) an highly influential German musician best known as a founding member of the band Kraftwerk with co-founder Ralf Hütter. Kraftwerk has inspired countless electronica musicians over the years. Florian continued with the band until November 2008.
I’ve been a huge fan of Kraftwerk since 1974. I was in high school and heard for the first time AUTOBAHN from Kraftwerk’s album of the same name. While the band continues to create and perform with Ralf Hütter, Florian will always be remembered and loved for his part in pioneering electronic music making it accessible and even popular.
and for those who prefer the original – both versions totally rock!
